VTG MEPHISTO FRANCE HAND CARVED WOOD DEVIL SMOKING PIPE~INCREDIBLE CARVING

THIS IS AN INCREDIBLE VINTAGE PIPE. THE DETAIL IS JUST FANTASTIC. A DEVIL'S HEAD WITH HORNS, BEARD, HAIR, LEAVES, TONGUE, EYES. IT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. IT HAS BEEN SMOKED, BUT NOT VERY MUCH. THE WOOD IS BEAUTIFUL, THE STEM HAS VIRTUALLY NO CLENCH MARKS. AS YOU CAN SEE, IT IS MARKED, "MEPHISTO" ON THE SIDE, AND "FRANCE" UNDERNEATH. THERE ARE LEAVES CARVED INTO HIS HAIR ON ONE SIDE. HIS EARS ARE POINTED, AS WELL AS HIS BEARD. HE HAS A DISTINCT TONGUE, AND EYES. IT LOOKS LIKE ONE OF HIS HORNS IS CHIPPED ON THE END, BUT THIS IS AN OLD PIECE AND THE ONLY FLAW I CAN SEE. I MEASURE 7 1/4" FROM THE TIP OF HIS BEARD TO THE END OF THE STEM. THANKS.
