Fabulous Roldan character doll depicts a lady dancer in a stunning folk costume, a souvenir of Valencia, Spain. Doll strikes a pose in a graceful, dramatic position with her back arched and her hands on her hips. Her smiling molded fabric face is framed with layers of black lace ruffles with pearls and sequins. Her side-glancing eyes and smile exude confidence. Her intensely embellished outfit is green, black, red and gold with white and black lace trim. Underneath her skirt her petticoats and stockings are white.
Doll is made of cloth on a wire armature with a molded head and painted expressive features.
Doll is 9" tall.
Vintage doll has two original paper tags is attached to her skirt. Tag on the front of her skirt identifies this doll as a "ROLDAN, Barcelona, Espana". Paper tag on the back of her skirt states; "Made in Spain" with a price handwritten and the word "Valencia" handwritten.
ROLDAN Lady Dancer of Valencia doll is in very clean and fresh condition. No dust, fading or bug damage. A nice addition to any collection. Doll needs a doll stand to be displayed. No odd or smokey odors.
