    Description
    BBB Own Make, VIRGIN 667
    Birdseye Grain, HIGH-GRADE
    Large Billiard, Excellent Shape!
Offering a classic early BBB Own Make VIRGIN in a classic large billiard shape 667, from the France factory. This is a good-looking pipe, and the Virgin is a High-Grade model in their lineup. It’s a nice looking pipe.
Here's what they say about the pipe in a 1957 ad from BBB:
Because the most particular pipe smokers in the world like their pipes natural, the finest Rock-Hard Algerian Briar specimen grain bowls are used for the BBB Own Make Virgin. No stain or coloring is used and that is why this pipe is the easiest of all to break in. As you smoke, the pipe begins to color, turning from pale blonde to a tawny golden russet. Each pipe is superbly fitted with a mouthpiece of finest English Ebonite, which bears toe famous BBB inlaid metal emblem and a dry smoking condenser.
The bowl is in great overall condition, with gorgeous looking tight birdseye and cross-grain showing, and has a “virgin” stain. The inner top rim has some surface darkening but no char, and the bowl interior is nicely seasoned with an established cake. This pipe has a unique combination of details, which are not common to the VIRGIN model BBB’s I’ve had in the past. The bowl doesn’t have a Country of Manufacture stamp, but the stem has FRANCE on the bottom. The shank has a Sterling Silver
stamped band, which I don’t recall on Virgin pipes, but this is likely just a later version which has those markings, and such. I’d guess the pipe is from the 1960’s-70’s. The stem has almost no wear, in great shape. Pipe should smoke well early on with your tobacco, one of the advantages of estate pipes. It draws very easy and looks sharp, weighs about 1.7 ounces
. Pipe’s been reconditioned and is ready to smoke!

Combined shipping of multiple items no problem! Saves you money...
Additional cleaning may be desired on some pipes, as I focus on the exterior reconditioning and reaming, and leave the shank interior to the new owner, pipe stand not included with any pipe.
